Here’s a ROK Espresso shot with my setup in New York. The original video is below showing more details, but I remade a closeup of just the shot with new beans that I found here in New York (Irving Farm Coffee Roaster Blackstrap Espresso blend).

Aeropress or ROK Espresso or Both?
I have had to move to New York temporarily, and my Bezzera BZ10 can’t come with me. So, now I’m left with what to buy for the apartment here. I’m seriously considering an Aeropress to just satisfy the coffee need, but also considering the ROK Espresso device. The ROK has decent reviews, but the real question is do I need it or can I just survive on well brewed Aeropress coffee?
One of the local smaller Starbucks competitors here, Gregorys, uses the Aeropress to brew single cup orders, and the coffee is quite good. So, I know it will work. But, no espresso for several months? Can I survive?
Depressurize Portafilter – De’Longhi EC-155
Hi there. Since the subject of depressurizing portafilters for many espresso machines is all over the internet with varying degrees of detail, I made a video showing how to do this in a non-destructive, reversible way for the De’Longhi EC-155 Enjoy
The La Pavoni basket mentioned in the video is this one which is currently out of stock as of 4/25/2014 at both Seattle Coffee Gear and Orphan Espresso. So, good luck finding that if you want it.
Keurig K-Cup Rolling Base
Getting the De’longhi machine off the counter top so the steam wand is more accessible is a necessity. I got lucky and found this Keurig rolling K-cup storage drawer thing at Target.

This thing is just the right height, and as you can see, the storage drawer is perfect to hold the portafilter, shot glasses, etc.
